Albert Lee "Butch" McBride, 77, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at his residence.

Butch was born December 27, 1944 in Pineland, Texas to Edward McBride and Callie Welch McBride.  He graduated from West Sabine High School and attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches for one and half years and then was drafted into the United States Army where he served in Viet Nam.  After serving in the Army, he went to work for NIBCO in Nacogdoches where he made his home.  He remained in Nacogdoches until his death.

He is survived by one brother, Larry McBride and wife, Nell, of Pineland; nephews, Jeff McBride, Jody McBride and wife, DeAnn, and Cody McBride and wife, Regina; nieces, Paula Booty and husband, Travis and Becky Beauchamp and husband, Mike; sister in law, Deva McBride; five great nephews and three great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Earl McBride; and two sisters, Alice Faye McBride and Julia McBride.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home.

His family plans to have a private memorial at a later date.
