Arthur Louis Dietz, 78, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Sabine County Hospital.

Mr. Dietz was born on May 4, 1942 in Eunice, Louisiana to Thomas John Dietz and Aspz Dupre' Dietz. He served in the U.S. Navy before going on to work as a Pipefitter for Echo Construction.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Theresa Dietz of Hemphill; son, Timothy Dietz and wife, Stephanie of Marlin, Texas, Clint Dietz and wife Pamela of Fannett, TX;  daughters, Cathy Papageorgiou and husband, Sokratis of Baltimore, Maryland and Melissa Helton and husband, Donnie of Hemphill; grandchildren, Brady, Brooke, Dana, Kiki, Joshua, Jacob, Jessica, Meghan and Amber; and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Theron Stewart officiating.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to service time at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Burial will follow services in Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Fairmount with Clint Dietz, Tim Dietz, Donnie Helton, Brady Dietz and Art Myers serving as pallbearers.
