Beatrice Inez McDonald, 93, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill.

Bea was born April 20, 1929 in Harlingen, Texas to Dominico and Beatrice Leal.  She was a 23 year resident of Sabine County, having previously resided in New Caney, Texas.  She earned her nursing degree and had worked for many years in the medical field.  She was a longtime member of Rosevine Church of God.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed picking on her husband, Oscar.  She also loved to hunt and fish.

Bea is survived by her husband of 34 years, Oscar McDonald of Hemphill; sons, Ruben Gonzales and wife, Rhonda, of Tomball, Eugene Frausto and wife, Sandra, of Houston, Mario Frausto of Houston, Ricky McDonald and wife, Lisa, of Denton and Stanley McDonald of Houston; daughters, Sylvia Lopez and husband, Mario C., of Del Rio and Sheryl Darlene Shine and husband, Donald, of Sheldon; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Rosevine Church of God with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home, Hemphill, Texas.
