Brenda Gayle Gawrys, 63, of Milam, Texas passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at her residence.

Brenda was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on July 10, 1958 to Louis Milam and Marjorie Sue Carpenter.  She worked for many years at an insurance agency before her retirement.  She had resided in Fort Worth before moving to Sabine County eight years ago.  She was a member of Liberty Springs Methodist Church in Milam where she served as song leader for several years.  She loved her children and grandchildren so very much.  Her laughter and singing will be missed.

She leaves behind her three daughters, Jennifer Gawrys of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Kimberly Orr of Rowlett, Texas and Amanda Mitchell of Herford, Arizona; her mother, Sue Pynes and husband, Lloyd Wayne, of Milam; sister, Mary Miller of Dallas; and her beloved nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Milam and her sister, Rita Richardson.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas.

Memorial services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Liberty Springs Methodist Church, 1280 Carter's Ferry Road East, Milam, TX 75959.
