Charles (Chuck) Rogers, age 79, of San Augustine, passed from this life on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at his home in San Augustine.

Charles was born August 22, 1942, to parents Elfreida (Johnson) Rogers and Wilber Rogers in Odessa, TX.  Charles married Ruby, the love of his life, and celebrated 55 years of marriage together.   Charles grew up in San Augustine and was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. He owned Charles Rogers Insurance Agency for many years and then went into the oilfield business where he later retired. Those who knew him know that he had a strong love for faith and his family and his life on this earth was spent showing that love.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Ruby (Fair) Rogers, daughter, Candace Mote of McKinney, TX; son, Charles Rogers and his wife Tory of Chapin, SC; daughter Constance Williams and her husband Gregg of Lantana, TX; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Mote, Caden Rogers, Chase Rogers, Alexis Williams, and Aiden Williams; sister Charla Thompson and husband Mike of Trinity, TX; sister-in-law Ruth (Fair) Griffin of Bronson, TX; sister-in-law Judy (Fair) Johnson and husband Bub of San Augustine, TX along with numerous other family members.

Charles was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Cheryl Dianne Rogers; parents, Elfreida and Wilber Rogers; mother and father in-law Florine and Raymond Fair; son-in-law Jeffrey Mote; sister-in-law Murlene Seago; brother-in-law Sammy Griffin; and brother-in-law Paul Seago.

Pallbearers will be Charles Rogers, Caden Rogers, Gregg Williams, Sean Griffin, Bub Johnson and Michael Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Johnson, Shane McGown, Danny Spring,Chad Seago.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, with graveside services at Bronson Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Don Lofton.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 3, 2022, from the hours of 1:00pm to 2:00 pm at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
