Charles Cody Rhodes, 40, of Hemphill, Texas, passed away on June 20, 2026. Born on June 1, 1986, in Hemphill, Texas, he was the cherished son of the late Tim and Melba Rhodes.

Cody dedicated many years of his life as a millwright at Edgar Lumber Company. Beyond his professional life, Cody was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. These hobbies brought him great joy and peace, providing cherished memories for all who accompanied him.

He leaves behind his son, Dhalton Rhodes; his sisters, Tonya Lakey and her husband, Monroe, of Milam, Texas, Judy Rhodes from Hollandale, Mississippi, and Sheila Rhodes of Wichita, Kansas.  His life was a testament to his dedication to his family and his passion for the outdoors. Cody will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cody was preceded in death by his father Tim Rhodes and his mother, Melba Rhodes; and one sister, Tina Burge.

The Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas, is assisting the family during this time.
