Danny "Dan" Paul Dubose, Jr., born on December 14, 1966, in Hemphill, Texas, passed away at his home in Hemphill on December 16, 2024, at the age of 58.

Dan worked as a truck driver in the logging industry of southeast Texas, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. A man who loved the outdoors, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and mudhogging. Affectionately known as the "cool uncle," Dan brought laughter and warmth to those around him.

He was a member of Strickland Crossing Church of God, where he found community and faith.

Danny is survived by his father, Danny Paul Dubose, Sr., of Hemphill; his sons, Chase Dubose, also of Hemphill and Caleb Elliott of Rusk, Texas; and his sisters, Regina Harley and her husband Randy, and Brandi Cox and her husband Brad—all of Hemphill. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish their memories of him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Pearl Dubose.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Strickland Crossing Church of God with Bro. Charles Moody officiating.
