David Milton Poindexter, 57, of Bronson, Texas passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his home in Grapevine Community.

David was born in Pineland, Texas on February 11, 1964 to James Milton Poindexter and Barbara Faye Murray Poindexter.  He was a United States Army Veteran and later worked for Temple-Inland as a heavy equipment operator for many years.  He was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and a member of Rosevine Church of God.  He was also a certified EMT.

David is survived by his wife, Rochelle Poindexter of Bronson; daughter, Jessica Wright and husband, Barry, of Bronson; brother, Mike Poindexter and wife, Jessica, of Rayburn Country; nieces, Brittany, Kayla, Ricci, and Sayge; and grandchildren, Lynnsey Thompson, Winston Wright, and Coty Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Vanessa Thompson.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.

Burial will follow services in Milam Cemetery with Mark Nolan, Mike Starky, Antonio Vazquez, Barry Wright, Jr., Barry Wright, Sr., Coy Holmes and Aaron Jolet serving as pallbearers.
