David Lee Streadl, 69, of Hemphill, Texas passed away on August 15, 2026, at his residence. Born on May 27, 1957, in Port Arthur, Texas, to David Charley Streadl and Sandra Jones, David was a cherished member of the Hemphill community where he had lived for the past 20 years.

David had a successful career as a salesman with Chief Automotive, where his charisma and dedication made him a favorite among colleagues and clients alike. His love for the outdoors was profound; he cherished his time on the lake and was an avid fisherman. A devoted sports fan, David passionately supported the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros. His joy in simple pleasures like mowing the lawn was known to all who knew him. Above everything, David's greatest love was for his children and grandchildren, whom he adored spending time with.

David is survived by his sons, Dustin Streadl and wife, Randi, of Nederland; Brandon Streadl and wife, Tonya, also of Nederland; and Justin Streadl and wife, Brittany, of Lake Jackson. He also leaves behind his brother, Michael Streadl and wife, Gayle, of Conroe; and his beloved grandchildren, Clayton Macon, Cooper Streadl, Piper Streadl, Cilia Streadl, and Vivian Streadl. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaRue Streadl; his parents and his sister, Jane Kaulfus.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street in Hemphill, with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

David's life was marked by his warmth, generosity, and the deep bonds he formed with those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
