Delores (Sissy) Ashcraft, 60, of Milam passed away peacefully in her home, Thursday, December 22, after a four-year battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. She was born on July 24 ^th , 1962, in Hemphill, Texas to Mary Odell Chambers & Marlin Jacobs.

Sissy lived in Sabine County her entire life. She enjoyed working outdoors in the sunshine, reading Louie Lamour & John Grisham books, tending her roses & mowing her grass. She loved her family, Conway Twitty & crossword puzzles. She was a strong, beautiful, spirited, hard-working woman with a heart of gold & a hearty laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell & Tuck, her brother, Ronny Kirk & family, and her sister, Mary Jo Gresham.

Her life will forever be cherished in the hearts of those survived by her: her husband of twenty-five years, Jared Ashcraft, mother-in-law, June Hanks; her son, Michael Foster and wife, Christy, of Fairmount; daughter, Kelly Young and husband, Scot, of Jasper; step-daughter, Kassie Martinez and husband, Orlando, of Pharr, TX; her Grandchildren, Ari, Coco, MiKayla, Caden "Bubba", Micah & McKinley Foster and Zane & Bella Young, Isaiah, Kat, & Ilyana Martinez, and her great-grandson Quentin Spears-Young; Her brothers, Paul Smith of Whitewright, TX, Deubose "JR" Kirk and wife, Debbie, of Douglass, Ron Williams of Onalaska, and Mark Hopson of Lufkin; sisters, Martha Kirk of Pineland, Carolyn Spears and husband, Roger, of Milam and Cheryl Williams and husband, Andy, of Gladewater; an numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Sissy's Life will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 beginning at 12:00 p.m. in Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
