Dimitroula Gianake Carroll, 81, of Broaddus, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, Nacogdoches, Texas.

Dimitroula was born in Channelview, Texas on March 18, 1941 to Evangelos D. Gianake and Minenola Julyt Little Ganake.  A lifetime resident of Channelview, she had lived in Broaddus for the past six years.  She had worked as a bookkeeper and was a member of First Baptist Church in Channelview.  She played the piano for River Road Baptist Church in Channelview for many years.

She was the very definition of a "mom".  She loved helping kids and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.  She enjoying sewing, making dresses and also costumes for Halloween and she also enjoyed crocheting afghans.

Dimitroula is survived by her sons, Gary Steven Carroll of Broaddus and Michael Carroll of Channelview; daughter, Kelly Carroll of Huffman; sisters, Angelina Giannakis of Grapevine and Helen Makarczyk of Mount Belview; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.
