Donald Wayne Gilcrease, 75, of Pineland, Texas passed away Sunday, May 17,2020 at Hillside Nursing Home in Hemphill, Texas.

Donald was born October 1, 1944 in Zavalla, Texas to Edward Gilcrease and Roberta Stanley. Donald was retired from the Texaco Service Station in Pineland, Texas and enjoyed fishing, hunting and tending to his vegetable garden. He was an active member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by sons, Ronald Gilcrease of Lexington, Kentucky, Garey Gilcrease of Pineland, Texas; daughters, Donna Stephens and husband, Terry of Lexington, Kentucky, Dawn Trammel and husband, Matthew of San Augustine, Texas; brother, James Claudine Gilcrease and wife, Clovis of Huntington, Texas; sisters, Darnell Rogers and husband, Herman of Huntington, Texas, Naomi Anthony and husband, Charles of Diboll, Texas, Judy Rogers of Groveton, Texas; sister-in-law, Gennie Gilcrease; grandchildren, Jonah Trammel, Madison Trammel, Brooke Trammel, Abel Trammel, Lindsey Craig, Kayleen Bird and Blake Stephens; and great grandchildren, Jazmine Craig and Elijah Bird.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Gilcrease and Roberta Stanley; his wife, Deborah Sue Gilcrease; brother, Noah Gilcrease; sisters, Maggie Smith, Hattie Dykes, and Marcel Grimes.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ted Jacks officiating.

Burial will follow services in Sowell Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Matthew Trammel, Rodney Rogers, Samuel Vanden, Jr., Jimmy Dykes, JM Adkins, and William Antilley serving as pallbearers.
