Obituary

Douglas Wayne Welch, 59, of Pineland, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Doug was born in San Augustine, Texas on September 28, 1963 to Dick Welch, Sr. and Betty Virene Webb Welch.  He was a graduate of West Sabine ISD where he played baseball and led the Tiger team to the state playoffs in his position as pitcher.  He worked in the construction field for many years as a welder and superintendent for PPI.
