Edith Speer, 80, of Houston, Texas passed away Friday January 8, 2021 at Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena, Texas.

Edith was born on January 4, 1941 in Sabine County, Texas to Buren Buford Hawthorne and Merlene Ouita Clark. She was a loving mother and housewife.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Speer of Houston, Texas; sons, Robert York of Center and Waylon York of Hemphill; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Bronson Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to service at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.
