Eledia Ann Gillespie, aged 81, of Hemphill, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. Born on July 27, 1943, in Port Arthur, Texas, she was the daughter of Luther Harris and Edith Cessac Harris. Eledia was a dedicated homemaker and a native of Abbeville, Louisiana, before making her home in Sabine County in 2016.

She is survived by her sons, Martin Gillespie and his partner, Carlos Sosa, of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Shane Gillespie and his wife, Monica, of Pennsylvania; her daughter, Melinda Lemaire and her husband, John, of Hemphill; her brother, Joseph Harris and his wife, Helen, of Warren; her grandchildren, Cassie, Brooke, Caleb, Blair, Ashley, Barron, and Anna Kate; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, County Road 4264, Woodville, TX 75979, under the direction of Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas.
