Elizabeth Jones, 94, of Granite Shoals, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her residence.

Elizabeth was born on August 6, 1928 in Simsboro, Louisiana to Basil Stevenson and Leta Stanley. She worked as a teacher and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Steven Paul Jones and wife, Kelly of Bastrop, Texas; grandchildren, Jay Jones, Leanne Jones, Stephanie Johnson, Brian Burrows, and Jeff Barnes; great grandchildren, Gabrielle Ivy, Stephen Campbell, Jackson Campbell, Cody Jones, Madison Johnson, Dallas Barnes and A.J. Henderson; and great great grandchildren, River Ivy and June Ivy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Paul Jones and her parents, Basil and Leta Stevenson.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

A visitation will begin two hours prior to service time at 12:00 p.m.

Burial will follow services at Hebron Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with her family and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
