Eugene William Tillman, III, 81, of Milam, Texas passed away at his residence.

He was born on January 14, 1940 in Wabbaseka, Arkansas to Eugene William Tillman, Jr. and Willie Maud Shelton Tillman.  He served in the United States Army and then later became a truck driver.  He had lived in Metairie, Louisiana before moving to Sabine County 15 years ago.  He was considered by himself and many others to be a free spirit.

He is survived by his sisters, Becky Gauci of Metairie, Louisiana and Goldie Kelley of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and preceded in death by his brother, George Russell Tillman.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
