Felix Louis Matula, 82, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Wednedsday, November 18, 2020 at his residence.

Felix was born on August 10, 1938 in East Bernard, Texas to Willie Matula and Martha Sisak Matula.  He graduated from Brazos Port High School in the Lake Jackson area and was a member of the Catholic faith.  He had lived in West, Texas before moving to Sabine County in 2004.

Felix loved to plant, go fishing and take his dog for a ride on his scooter.  He loved meeting people and he loved to dance.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Lee Matula of Hemphill; sister, Victoria Matula Holley and husband, Dwayne, of Pearland, Texas; sister-in-law, Marian Matula of Brazoria, Texas; brother-in-law, Sam Dunbar and Tony of Needville, Texas; and his nieces, nephews, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Martha Matula; son, Phillip Matula; brothers, Rudy Matula, Earnest Matula, and Sylvester Matula; and sister, Henrietta Forrest.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill.
