Franklin "Poncho" Lloyd Eaves, 60, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill, Texas.

Poncho was born on June 13, 1960 in Jefferson County, Texas to Luther Frank Eaves and Hellen Virginia Baldwin Eaves. He worked as a NCCR certified crane operator for Circle 8.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Eaves of Milam; sons, Justin Dale Eaves of Beaumont, and Jim Hogan and wife Hayley, of Milam; daughters, Darlene Jones of Milam, and Rhonda Hogan of Orange; brothers, Johnny Eaves of Mauriceville, and Kevin Eaves and wife, Fay of Mauriceville; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Hellen Eaves; brothers, Scooter Eaves and Scotty Gene Eaves; and his sister-in-law, Becky Eaves.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Graveside Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Eaves Cemetery in Gist, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Sister Welch officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Newman, Jason Jones, Chase Farmer, Mikey Martin, B.J. Farmer, Deven Newman, and Cody Lout.
