Ila Ilenne Knotts Lovell, age 75, passed away on Tuesday night, May 3, 2022 at her residence in Hemphill, Texas. A former resident of Channelview, Texas and years later of Winnie, Texas, she had lived in Hemphill for the past twelve years: and was a homemaker.

Ila was born on August 22, 1946 in Ashland, Louisiana and was the youngest of six children. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1964.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Irene Knotts; two sisters, Azelle Knotts and Neta Woodard; one of identical twin daughters, Kerri Lovell; an infant grandson, Christopher Paslean; and one unborn grandchild.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 56  years, John Robert "Bobby" Lovell of Hemphill, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Michael Paslean of Port Neches, Texas; granddaughter, Paige Paslean also of Port Neches, Texas; sister, Oleta Bown of Ashland, Louisiana; twin sister, Iva Jarriett also of Ashland, Louisiana; and brother, Larry Knotts of Saline, Louisiana. Additional survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, friends and extended family members.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Monty Danner officiating.

Burial will follow services at 2:00 p.m. in Page Graveyard near Castor, Louisiana.
