Jacqueline Diana Smith, loving known as "Jackie"  to her friends and family, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 in Harbor Hospice of Jasper at the age of 79.

Jackie was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 21, 1943 to A. D. Phillips and Florence Beatrice Johnson Phillips.  She attended Bronson High School and later worked as a hair dresser for many years.  She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County.  She loved to garden just like her mother did and was particularly fond her flowers and potted plants.

She is survived by her brother, Clifford Owen "Pete" Conner of Bronson; sister, Charlotte Henry of Bronson; ex-husband, Greg Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved little poodle, Sadie.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in Bronson Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be her friends and family.
