James Arthur Lowe, 47, of Brookeland, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his residence.  James was a lifetime resident of Brookeland and a member of Rayburn Baptist Church.

Jamie was born on April 5, 1974 in Jasper, Texas to John Arthur Lowe and Ruby Loraine Graham. Jamie was known by many and a friend of all. His personality was big and bright without a doubt. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed watching the Texans and Nascar races. He had a special love for animals, especially his dogs.

Jamie was a devoted family man that could make anyone smile no matter the mood in the room. He loved  his wife, Pops, his sisters, children, god daughter, nephews, and nieces with all his heart.

He is survived by his father, John Arthur Lowe and wife, Charlotte, of Brookeland; wife, Elisha Lowe of Brookeland; son, Caleb Lowe of Lufkin; daughter, Harley Thorton of El Dorado, KS; god-daughter, Natalie Padron of Bacliff; sisters, Robin Wright and husband, Barry, of Jasper, Ashley Mott and husband, Caleb, of Yazoo, MS; Mollie Clark and husband, Matthew, of Morehead, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Loraine Loggins and his step-father, Elvin Loggins.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Clifford Neal officiating.

Burial will follow services in Weeks Chapel Cemetery (Newton County) Co Rd 1067, Jasper, TX 75951 with Gene Grantham, Jeremiah Braddock, Kenneth Scott, Isaac Clark, Mark Graham, Clayton Hood and Adam Hood serving as pallbearers.
