Gloria Jeane Thomas, 84, of Milam, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill, Texas.

Jeane was born November 11, 1937 to Eual William Emmons and Alice Lenora Thompson Emmons.  She was a 30 year resident of Sabine County and was a bookkeeper who ran Circle T Tax office in Milam for many years.  She was active in her community and was a founder of Milam Settlers Day.  She also liked to collect roosters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Dorothy Sue Emmons Young.

She is survived by her husband, Zelby Ray "Bo" Thomas of Coushatta, LA.; daughter, Bobbie Mauk and husband, Dicky, of Gilmer; sons, Robert Grimes and wife, Janette, of Medelin, Columbia and Larry Grimes and wife, Jeanette, of Gilmer; nieces, Rikki Tubbs and husband, Mike, and Terri Gaidusek and husband, Tom; nephew, Danny Cruchelow and wife, Trish; grandchildren, Dustin Mauk and wife, Christy, Hollie Griffis and husband, Michael, Aaron Mauk and wife, Savannah, Brian Mauk and wife, Mary Ann, Curtis Grimes and wife, Brooke, Crystal Soape and husband, Kadin, Alicia Grimes, Dewayne Grimes, and Chasity Grimes; great grandchildren, Triniti, Allie, Bryce, Maddy, Justice, Dakota, Kailyn, Colton, Adelaide, Everette, Briella, Elias, Blakely, Cason, Hunter, Caitlin, Luna, Amelia, Jeremiah, Alya and Isaiah; great nieces and nephews, Nolan and wife, Brandy, Brant, Tony and wife, Nicole, Matt and wife, Peyton, Holley and husband, Rolf, and Chelsea and husband, Zachary; great-great nieces and nephews, Addison, Aubrey, Kinley, Keira, Lyla, Greyson and Devin; many cousins and numerous great friends.

Graveside services will be begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 in Zion Hill Cemetery, Friday, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Dicky Mauk officiating.
