Jeanelle "Tina"
Ruth Butler
Jul 30, 1944 — Oct 26, 2021
Hemphill
Jeanelle (Tina) Ruth Zwerneman Butler passed away October 26, 2021. Tina was born on July 30, 1944. She had a long (42 years!) and very successful career with Big 3 Industries / Smith Development. She is survived by her children Michael Robertson, Jan Roberson, and Shari Robertson and her two grandchildren Calli and Max, all of whom she loved more than life itself. She is also survived by her brother Charles Zwerneman and his wife Marsha. She leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews, countless friends, 7 cats, and 1 dog! A special shout-out to Carol Jean Grossman, her favorite cousin; someone she reached out to at least once everyday to talk smack and solve all the problems of the world! And Jeanette Craig her best friend and partner-in-crime for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her dear mother, Erna Frieda Zwerneman (nee Melde), father Walter Otto Zwerneman, two brothers, Walter Zwerneman and Marvin Zwerneman, and her first grandchild, Michael Lee Robertson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Butler.
First and foremost, Tina cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, arts-n-crafts, crossword puzzles, and watching the Astros! But as you all know, her favorite hobby was thrift-shopping - she could never pass up a bargain! She was also very active in her church and taught Sunday school classes and Vacation Bible School for many years.
God broke the mold when he made Tina; one that can never be duplicated. She received great joy in helping anyone and everyone in need. The world lost a living angel. It brings comfort to her family knowing she has been reunited with her mother and Elvis! Tina will be greatly missed.
