Jeremy Jerome Tompkins, 45, of San Augustine, Texas passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital in San Augustine.

Jeremy was born on February 16, 1976 in Odessa, Texas to Jerry Hamp Tompkins and Ruby Jo Parrie Tompkins. Jeremy enjoyed watching game shows, wrestling and sports. All that knew him said he had a smile that lit up a room.

He is survived by his father, Jerry Tompkins of Milam; mother, Ruby Jo Tompkins of Milam; and brother, Joseph Donathon Tompkins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at St. Pius I Catholic Church in Hemphill, Texas with Father Maria Susai J. Avula officiating.

Burial will follow services in Cooper Harris Cemetery in Milam, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Larry Paul Laroux, Jr., Timothy Chad Martinez, Roger McCartney, Michael Tompkins, Keith Tompkins, Jeff Brown and Robert Parrie serving as pallbearers.
