Joan Ann Beam, 78, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Hemphill Care Center.

Joan was born September 24, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Sigmund Segielski and Inez Johnson Segielski.  She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She attended college before working for many years as a scheduler for Anheuser-Busch and she enjoyed flowers and antiques.

Joan is survived by her husband of 58 years, 9 months, and 19 days, Milton "Butch" Beam of Hemphill; sons, Steve Beam of Pasadena and Kurt Beam and wife, Lisa, of Dayton; sisters, Karen Segielski of Jasper and Mary Jane Hutchins of Dear Park; and grandchildren, Kyle, Kolin, Cheyenne and Dylan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at St. Pius I Catholic Church, 309 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Father Maria Susai J. Avula officiating.

Burial will follow services in Yellowpine Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home.
