John Thomas Cummings, 75, of Milam, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Lufkin, Texas.

John was born on July 8, 1946 in Buna, Texas to Robert Cummings and Willie Lewis. He worked in accounting as a CPA and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hemphill. John enjoyed traveling with his wife, watching the horse races, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Cummings of Milam, Texas; son, John Reginald Cummings of Milam, Texas; daughter, Kelley Marie Brady and husband, Patrick of Fulshear, Texas; brother, Robert Dale Cummings of Buna, Texas; sisters, Frances Bland and husband, Frank of Buna, Texas and Deon Thornton of Buna, Texas; and grandchildren, Meagan, Macy and Ainsley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Cummings and Willie Lewis Cummings; sister-in-law, Joan Cummings and brother-in-law, James Earl Richardson.

A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Hemphill, Texas. A visitation will take place one hour prior to service.

The family would like to invite everyone to share a meal after the service at their home.
