John William Mitchell, 51, of Brookeland, Texas passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at his residence.

John was born in Jasper, Texas on June 8, 1970 to Alton Mitchell and Nancy Ann Bailey Mitchell.  He had lived in Houston for several years before returning home to Brookeland.  He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Greta Mitchell of Brookeland; son, Jordan Mitchell and daughters, Jaidin Mitchell and Jazmine Mitchell, all of Brookeland and sister, Joanne Mitchell and Donald Dugas of Port Arthur.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas.
