Johnny Paul Stewart, 80, of Hemphill, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Sabine County Hospital.

Johnny Paul was born on September 29, 1941 in Yellowpine, Texas to Paul Stewart and Viola Impson. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years and went on to retire from Temple Inland in Pineland, Texas. He was a hard worker whether he was on the job or at home. Johnny Paul was a member of the Yellowpine-Macedonia Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Billy Wayne Stewart and wife, Angela of Yellowpine, John Michael Stewart of Yellowpine and Robert Paul Stewart of Yellowpine; brothers, Phillip Stewart of Yellowpine and Ronny Stewart and wife, Bonnie of Yellowpine; sister, Carolyn Thomason and husband, Curtis of Hemphill; grandchildren, Brittany Stewart, Heather Cramer, James Michael Stewart, Justin Stewart and Joseph Stewart; and great grandchildren, Makenna Cramer, Makenley Cramer, Kayland Wayne Cramer, Aubrey Williams, Owen Stewart and Wyatt Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Stewart and Viola Stewart.

A Graveside service will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 in Yellowpine Cemetery with Bro. Charles Moody officiating and his family serving as pallbearers.
