Lillian Lee "Bee" Collins, 77, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at her residence.

Bee was born in Hemphill on June 30, 1944 to Joseph Aaron Collins and Ora Enta Phillips Collins.  She was a long-time resident of Houston where she worked as a gauge inspector for Baker-Hughes before moving back to Sabine County 15 years ago.

Bee was hard worker who loved manual labor and gardening.  She loved to play the game, Farckle and make tie blankets.  She had a mind like MacGyver and could find a way to fix anything and she was a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Jean Phillips of Houston and Sherry Eileen Ayers, also of Houston; sisters, Jean Easley of Hemphill, Debbie Lane and husband, Don, of Pineland, Vada Payne and husband, Esker, of Silsbee, and Kay Vrooman of Hemphill; grandchildren, Ashley, Travis, Jaime and Kylie; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Collins; sister, Linda Ann Collins.

Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
