Lynette Philips, 77, of Fairmount, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas.

Lyn was born on August 14, 1944 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Albert Witte and Stella Fern Witte. She was a loving wife and mother who was known to everyone as a kind and caring person. Lyn attended Fairdale Baptist Church where she played the organ for 34 years.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Philips of Fairmount, Texas; sons, Chris Philips and wife, Mona of Gilmer, Texas and Brian Philips and wife, Kendra of West Monroe Louisiana; daughter, Lauri Horton of Fairmount, Texas; brothers, Paul Witte of Hemphill, Texas and Buzzy Witte of Silsbee, Texas; sister, Jan Witte of Silsbee, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Witte and Stella Fern Witte.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.

A Graveside service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
