Michael Roy Castaneda, 44, of Hemphill, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the Sabine County Hospital.

Michael was born on June 22, 1978 in Port Arthur, Texas to Roy Castaneda and Louise Barnhart Castaneda. He worked as a laborer for the ILA for many years. He loved to go fishing with his fishing buddies. Michael was known for his very big and loving heart and his fun loving nature. As he enters God's realm he will be loved and missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his son, Aron Roy West Castaneda; mother, Louise Castaneda; sister, Angela Everett and husband, Zach and Christina Puente and husband, Jesus; seven nieces and one nephew; four great nieces and one great nephew; as well as many others Michael considered his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Castaneda.

Cremations arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home.

Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.
