Michaela Marie
Brown
Mar 6, 1998 — Oct 7, 2021
Rosevine
Michaela "Katie" Marie Brown, 23, of Bronson, Texas tragically passed away on October 7, 2021 in a single vehicle accident.
She was born in Weatherford, Texas March 6, 1998, the daughter of Chris and Heather Brown.
Katie was a truly caring and compassionate person who had a light that couldn't be denied. She was observant and introspective, while also loving to play and have a good time. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul and a laugh that permeated your soul.
Katie loved hanging out with family & friends, being outside, fishing, hunting, and kayaking. She was an accomplished livestock showman and had a passion for FFA and 4H. Her love of animals was so extreme that anyone who knew her knew that she would try to pet and domesticate any critter that she could get her hands on, even if it was clear she shouldn't.
She was the best sister that ever existed and her siblings all looked up to her (and not just because she was six feet tall). Their relationship was not like any other, each one was unique, extra-ordinary, and beautiful. She took her role in their lives seriously and loved them each fiercely.
The past three years and some change, Katie has spent her life on a peaceful piece of east Texas land with her boyfriend, Michael and his children. Here she had built and spent a beautiful life that brought her joy. It had truly become "Katie's Place"; she loved here and has been well loved by Michael, his kids, their family, and their friends.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Brody Michael, her sister, Zoey Mae, her nephew, Hayden Michael, and her biological father, Damian Lopez. Katie is survived by her mother, Heather Brown; father, Chris Brown; siblings, Wyatt Morris, Tucker Morris, Troy Brown, Jolie Brown, Gentry Brown, Tara Doors, T'Leah Doors, Jordain Lopez, Damian Lopez Jr., Meagan Burrows, and Dustin Burrows; nephew, Coleton Sanders; great-grandmother Jean Quinn; grandparents, Rose and Bubba Cassel, Marshall Brown & Julie Casey, Dorothy & Jeff Sipes; her boyfriend, Michael Childress and his children, Cheyenne, Kylee, and Chance; uncles and aunts Jeremiah Cohn, Clayton & Brandy Dankworth, Ted & Melissa Reeves; multiple cousins, and many beloved friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her absence in this world will forever impact all who knew her.
