Murlene Seago, 78, of Bronson, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas.

Murlene was born on January 11, 1943 in Bronson, Texas to Edwin Lemuel Clegg and Florence McBride.  She worked for many years for Stephen F. Austin State University in the Forestry department.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bronson and also, the Mayor of Bronson and a death notice specialist.  She loved her family and taking care of others.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and mowing.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Raymond and Florine Fair.

Murlene is survived by her sons, Lamar Seago and wife, Christina, Chad Seago, and Ray Seago and wife, Ellen; daughters, Angie Seago Daniel and husband, Duane, and Sherry Seago Spring and husband, Danny; brother, Charles Clegg; sisters, Ruth Griffin, Ruby Rogers and husband, Charles, Judy Johnson and husband, William, and Linda Ponder; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home.
