Nancy Jane Dugger, 86, of Geneva, Texas passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at her residence.

Nancy was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 9, 1937 to Eugene Bernard Burberry and Dorothy Jane Mulbarger Burberry.  She worked for many years as a manager for AT&T and Southwestern Bell phone companies.  She had lived in Geneva since 2008, having previously resided in Wylie, Texas.

She loved to cook and was a talented cake decorator and she was a member of the Pioneers of AT&T.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 24 years, Donald Dugger of Geneva; son, Stephan Maharidge, also of Geneva; step-sons, Mike Maharidge of Austin and Bill Maharidge of Nashville; stepdaughter, Betty Dove of Plano; grandchildren, Denise Jennings, Mary Maharidge and Chelsea Baca; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Burial will follow services in Myrtle Springs Cemetery with Stephan Maharidge,Tim Dugger, Takoda Dugger, Mike Maharidege, George Clark and Georgie Clark serving as pallbearers.
