Liberty Hill

Obituary

Patsy Anne Barcheers led a good life of 87 years. She lived it believing in the lord and loving her family. Spent most of it in Odessa, TX with her beloved husband of 68 years. Her final three years ended in Liberty Hill, TX on August 15 th in the year 2022.

Most knew her as Pat or Patsy, but those who loved her the most called her Mom or Nannie. Patsy was preceded in death by her youngest son Joe Barcheers, and husband Aubrey "Buck" Barcheers.  She is survived by her children Jackie Sage, Marty Barcheers with his wife Cindy, her daughter Linda Ray and her husband Jeff Smith along with her step-son William "Bill" Barcheers and wife Patricia. She has many grandchildren, Sam Glodt and his wife Lisa, Audrey Inga and her husband Tony, Julie Barcheers, Abby Smith and her husband Grant, Karli Reynolds, Stacy Barcheers-Brown and her husband Simon, and Alicia Barcheers-Woodard and her husband Josh.

She loved horses, dogs, old western movies, but most of all she adored her great grandchildren Kyle, Kaylee, Preston, Alexandra, Rylin, and Radyn.

Patsy was raised in Beaumont, Texas by her adoptive parents Charles Allen and Essie Bell Partin.  She met her love while she was working the jewelry counter at a department store and he tricked her into getting her phone number.  Patsy was a devout Christian who held tight to her faith throughout her life, during trials and tribulations, triumphs and joys.  She instilled those Christian beliefs in her children and grandchildren.  On any given Sunday while she was able, you could find her filling a pew, singing to the Lord with tears in her eyes.

Patsy was known by her family through her famous gumbo and Etouffee, the food that no matter the situation could bring everyone together at the table.  Patsy loved the simple things, a game of dominoes around the kitchen table, coffee and gospel music on Sunday mornings.  A good book in her recliner or a Hallmark movie snuggled up with whatever grandkid was with her.  In her younger years, she was quite the traveler, taking trips to the Holy Lands and Europe. She loved travel and history.

Patsy humor will be missed, her love for Christ and her family. Services will be held Friday, August 19 th , 2022, 10AM at the Sunset Memorial Chapel in Odessa, TX.
