Amelia (Patsy) McClelland, 85, of Bronson, Texas passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at her residence.

Patsy was born in Bronson on September 6, 1937 to George Washington King, Sr. and Ida Alma Richards King.  She was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and worked for many years in hospitals as a secretary and insurance specialist.  She was an active member of Broaddus Pentecostal Church.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dearly loved spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening, both flower and vegetable, and quilting.  She especially loved to cook.  Her husband, Billy, was the love of her life and she loved him right up until the very end.

Patsy is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Billy Richard McClelland of Bronson; sons, Mikel Paul Hammock of St. Cloud, FL and Richard Wayne McClelland and wife, Julie, of Bronson; daughters, Brenda Gayle Crow and husband, Jim, of Bronson, Tammie Lois Covington and husband, Johny, of Center, and Arlene Parrish and husband, Royce, of Bronson; brother, G. W. King and wife, Tammie, of Hemphill; brother-in-law, Bobby Ray McClelland of Bronson; grandchildren, Amanda Hammock, Brandi Ebarb, Angie White, Amber Havard, Jimbo Crow and wife, Kayla, Jana Keele and husband, Ryan, Joel Covington and wife, Casey, Jonathan Allen, Hannah Elliott and husband, Kenneth, Dustin Parrish, Susan Parrish, Megan Cain and husband, Kurt, and Aaron McClelland; 22 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karrie Ann Hammock; brothers Marvin "Babe Ruth" King, Arvin "Hickory Nut" King, Marlon King and Arvil "Jigs" King; sister, Elaine Wright; and great granddaughter, Robin Havard.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Green and Bro. Marlow Shubert officiating.

Burial will follow services in Plainview Cemetery with Jimbo Crow, Joel Covington, Jonathan Allen, Aaron McClelland, Ryan Keele, Bobby McClelland, Trey Crow, Matthew Page, Herbert Welch, Jr., Lamar Thomas, Kenneth Elliott, Mark White and Cory White serving as pallbearers.
