Ray Kenneth Collins, 93, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Hemphill Care Center.

Ray was born in Cleveland, Texas on January 15, 1928 to Joe Grady Collins and Docie Gholson Collins.  He served as an officer in the Merchant Marines before becoming a Marine Engineer for Amoco.  He was a 38 year resident of Sabine County having previously resided in Texas City.  He loved fishing Toledo Bend Lake any chance he got.

Ray is survived by his son, Mark Collins and wife, Jennifer, of Friendswood, TX; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Collins; his sons, Kenneth Collins and Richard Collins; his parents, brothers and sisters.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill.
