Rosie Lee Wells, 95, of Pineland, Texas passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill, Texas.

Rosie was born January 18, 1927 and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She had been a resident of Sabine County for 67 years, having previously lived in Livingston.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pineland and also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Over the years, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Sabine County Hospital.

Rosie is survived by her sons, Boyd E. Wells and wife, Mary, of League City and Joe O. Wells, Jr. and wife, Rosann, of Silsbee; brother, Algie Lee Kilgore and wife, Wanda, of Diboll; sister, Virginia Jean Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah; numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Joe O. Wells, Sr.; brothers, Mack Kilgore and Reuben Kilgore; and sister, Eloise Wells.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Mike Neal officiating.

Burial will follow services in Pineland Cemetery.
