Ruby Joann Karpienski, 82, of Geneva, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Ruby was born in Bronte, Texas on October 13, 1939 to Wilson Sharp and Juanita Medart Sharp.  She was a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas for many years before moving to Sabine County in 1982.  She worked taking care of children as a nanny.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading and caring for her animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Karpienski and daughter-in-law, Lisa Karpienski.

Ruby is survived by her son, Guy Karpienski of Nacogdoches; daughters, Kelly Reynolds and husband, Ivy, of Hemphill and Mary Flowers and husband, Scott, of San Augustine; and grandchildren, Erin Karpienski, Celine Reynolds and Trey Reynolds.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Bro. David Williams officiating.

Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow services in McMahan Chapel Cemetery in Geneva, Texas.
