Sandra Kaye Woods Vanover

March 27, 1956-January 3, 2023

A graveside service for Sandra Kaye Woods Vanover, 66, of Nacogdoches was held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.  The committal service was under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, with Bro. Floyd Wright  officiating. Sandy, as she was known by her loved ones, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 3 ^rd .

She was born in San Augustine, Texas on March 27, 1956 to Oren and Charlie Faye Clark Woods.  Sandy grew up on the Woods Family Homestead and graduated from West Sabine High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. She was a successful Certified Public Accountant and businesswoman.  Sandy enjoyed traveling, spending time on the Bolivar Peninsula, and being with her friends and family.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, and her best friend and husband Ray Vanover.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother,Charles Oren Woods and wife Connie;nephews, Brian Woods and Pam; and Kaleb Woods ,all of San Augustine County, and nieces Charlotte Woods Metcalf and husband, Jimmy Dale, Avery, and Charlcie Metcalf, all of Timpson, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Fairview Cemetery or Little Flock Cemetery:
