Shadrich "Pete" Elwood Morris, 82, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 in Legacies Nursing & Rehab in Hemphill.

Pete was born August 2, 1941 in Hemphill to John David Morris, Sr. and Virgie Marie Maxey Morris.  He was a graduate of Hemphill High School and later served his country as a member of the United States Army.  He was a lifelong Sabine County resident and worked as a carpenter for many years.  When he had time, he liked to hunt deer and turkeys.

He is survived by his sister, Beth Fisher and husband, Glenn, of Orange; niece, Holly Blount and husband, Justin, of Friendswood; and nephew, Josh Fisher and wife, Lisa, of Orange.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 in Low's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
