Shirley Jo Burleson, 86, of Lufkin passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Parkwood in the Pines.

Shirley was born on May 25, 1935 in Geneva, Texas to Henry Acie Smith and Mary Elva Murphy Smith. She was a loving housewife.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kenneth and Cathy Smith of Brock, Texas, Henry and Nora Smith of Lufkin, Ronny and Linda Smith of Lufkin, Larry and Annette Tompkins of Lufkin, Paul and Cathy Smith of Orange, James and Linda Sigler of Lufkin, and Richard and Tammie Smith of Boyce, Louisiana; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Acie Smith and Mary Elva Smith; and her husband, Thomas Edward Burleson.

Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Geneva, Texas with Bro. Richard Smith officiating.
