Shirley Ann Quarles. 81, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at her residence.

Shirley was born in Logansport, Louisiana on December 30, 1940 to Samuel Jefferson Billingsley and Ida Smith Billingsley.  She had lived in Vidor before moving to Sabine County in 1992 and was a member of Fairdale Baptist Church.  She was a housewife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Quarles of Hemphill; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roberts H. Quarles, Sr.; son, Robert H. Quarles, Jr.; and daughter, Rebecca L. Keith.

Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Mount Sinai Cemetery in the Fairmount Community under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with J. R. McDonald officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. before service.
