Theresa May Dietz, 76, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at her residence.

Theresa was born in Eunice, Louisiana on March 1, 1946 to Raul Veronie and Iris Lejuene Veronie.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing and genealogy.   She was a resident of Jasper, Texas before moving to Sabine County and was a member of Jasper United Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 57 years, Arthur Louis Dietz.

Theresa is survived by her sons, Timothy Dietz and wife, Stephanie, of Marlin, Texas and Clint Dietz and wife, Pamela, of Fannett; daughters, Cathy Papageorgiou and husband, Socrates, of Mt. Airy, Maryland and Melissa Helton and husband, Donnie, of Hemphill;  grandchildren, Brady, Brooke, Amber, Maegan, Jessica, Jacob, Dana, Kyriaki and Joshua; and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Pastor Tyron Rainer officiating.

Burial will follow services at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Fairmount with Donnie Helton, Larry Helton, Clint Dietz, Joshua Pappageorgiou, Soc Pappageorgiou, and Tim Dietz serving as pallbearers.
