Troy Roberts, Sr., 75, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Troy was born on May 30, 1945 in Bronson, Texas where he grew up. After graduating from West Sabine High School in Pineland, Texas he went to work for Temple Ind. and retired from there. Troy loved to fish and spend time on the lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.V. and Florence Roberts; his brothers, Paul and Roy Roberts and a brother-in-law, JR Key.

Troy is survived by his sons, Troy Roberts, Jr. and wife Carol of Zwolle, LA, and Brandon Roberts and wife, Monica of Broaddus, TX; his grandchildren, Billy Roberts, Kevin Rivers, Kyle Roberts, and Makeena Roberts; sister, Mary Sue Key of Livingston; friend, Jackie Spears of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Burial will follow services in Bronson Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Troy's grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
