Twila Henke, 70, of Six Mile passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hillside Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hemphill, Texas.

Twila was born June 12, 1950 in Bismarck, ND to her parents Lester and Tillie Krein. She attended Elementary and High School in Riverdale, ND. Later she attended college at Minot State College in Minot, ND. Twila loved to cook, and spent her time cooking and delivering meals to her neighbors.
She was married to Leon Henke on July 5, 1993. Together they have two sons, Jason Genter of Peyton, CO and Justin Genter of Bismarck, ND; and two daughters, Becky Goodwin of Moncks Corner, SC and Ashley Schmitt of Bismarck, ND. Twila has seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild; and her brother, Eldon Krein of Bismarck, ND.

Twila was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, soul mate and best friend of 27 years, Leon; and her children,  seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at God's Country Sportsman R.V. Park in Six Mile, Texas.
