Vera D. Bowen, 74, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land, Texas.

Vera was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on September 4, 1947 to Frank and Lydia Lamaison.  She was a 20 year resident of Sabine County and a loving wife and mother.  She was also a die hard Saint's fan.

Vera is survived by her sons, John R. Bowen and wife, Liz, and Brandon Deshotel and wife, Sharon; daughter, Denise Bowen; brother, Geary Lamaison; sister, Carla Talamo; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Bowen and parents, Frank and Lydia Lamaison.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home.
