William Glenn Brooks passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 74 in Milam, Texas. He was born on July 14, 1951 in Hemphill, Texas to his parents Lyndell Allen Brooks and Wilma Lurline Ener. He was lifelong resident of Sabine County.

Glenn dedicated many years of his life working as a millwright at Temple-Inland, where he was respected for his expertise and hard work. Outside of his professional life, Glenn was deeply passionate about the outdoors. He found joy in farming and gardening, and he spent much of his time hunting and fishing. A true lover of animals, Glenn was especially devoted to his dog, Rex. Those who knew him will remember him as a true southern gentleman, whose hobbies reflected his love for the natural world.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Todd and husband, Carl of Nederland, Texas; his brother Dale Brooks of Houston, Texas and his grandchildren, Colin Todd and Elizabeth Simon.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Lyndell and Wilma Brooks; his daughter, Glenda Brooks and his brother, Mickey Brooks.

A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
