William Fred White, 71, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Fred was born in Hemphill on August 23, 1950 to Rex Carl White and Atrell Lilly Wright White.  He was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and had worked for many years as a sawyer for local lumber companies.  He loved being outdoors and like to fish, hunt and camp any chance he got.

He is survived by his son, Ronald "Buddy" Franks and wife, Crystal, of Cassopolis, Michigan; daughter, Ashlee Rachelle White of Hemphill; brother, Frank Benton White and wife, Sherry, of Beaumont; sisters, Jane Hill and husband, Ralph, of Hemphill, Betty McGown of Hemphill; Mary Adams of Conroe, Carlyon Erwin and husband, Roy, of Huntington and Francess Denby, also of Huntington; and numerous grandchildren.

A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 in Meadors Cemetery in Milam, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Rex White officiating.

Visitation will begin 30 minutes prior to service.

Serving as pallbearers are Shane McGown, Todd McGown, Stephen Lynn White, Ralph Hill, Jr., George Hutto, and Carson Hill.
